Our Schools. Our Future.Our Wenatchee.

Why We're Here

Aging & Failing Facilities

Wenatchee High School is rated "Poor" in physical condition with outdated 50-year-old systems.

Overcrowding

WHS operates at 104% utilization, with undersized classrooms and limited learning space.

Costly Delays

Construction costs continue rising 5–7% per year. Waiting makes the problem more expensive.

A Community-Developed Plan

Your Neighbors Helped Build This Plan

After 15 months and nine work sessions, a diverse community committee reached consensus on a plan to replace Wenatchee High School and modernize HVAC across the District.

A Responsible Investment

The Funding Solution:

  • Estimated total project cost: $372.9M (including escalation to 2029)
  • Recommended bond amount: $295M
  • Unlocks up to $79M in state matching funds
  • Estimated tax impact: $1.48 per $1,000 AV

Voters turned down a 2018 bond measure to address these issues by approximately 300 votes. If it would have passed then, our students would be learning in a new school already.

Waiting any longer will result in more system failures and rising construction costs.
